It
is a matter of extensive awareness across a vast section of
population that Diabetes Mellitus is a highly complicated
and common endocrinological ailment, which tends to attack
a major percentage of patients complicating virtually every
vital organ of the human anatomy,. It’s a disease, which
can be kept under control with extensive and frequent investigations
and meticulously monitored treatment with injections, oral
medications and strict control of diet and life style. Patient
has to be under critical supervision of an Endocrinologist.
To make matters simple, economic and financially viable for
the victim of this malady, Inlaks General Hospital has opened
a Diabetic Centre recently. The prime objective and endeavor
of this centre is to cater to the needs of the society suffering
from this problem. The disease has been most vehemently and
extensively discussed and addressed in the last decade leading
to growing awareness of the same among the population at large.
The medical community is now familiar with the growing standards
and professional modalities in the diagnosis and overall management
of the disease. Though diabetes is now a house hold name,
the common and poorer sections of the society have been denied
the opportunity to encash these specialised consultancies
and investigative modalities more often than not, due to lack
of education and exhorbitant pecuniary impact. Inlaks General
Hospital is determined to fight this problem with total dedication
and devotion. Patients in high-risk category are initially
registered at a nominal charge of Rs. 200/- and are subjected
to frequent investigations and management at regular intervals.
They are given a booklet wherein all details of the patient
and other relevant findings of the disease are entered.
THE
ABOVE CENTRE HAS BEEN OPENED IN THE FOND MEMEORY OF LATE MRS.
SHAGA GIRDHARILAL DUSIJA WITH A DONATION OF RS. 2,00,000/-
GIVEN BY HER EVER LOVING HUSBAND.
